The Meetings Mean Business Coalition (MMBC) and industry partners are showing the world that it is possible for businesses to hold safe in-person meetings in our current environment. Exhibit A – the MMBC summer board of directors meeting on July 28 in Washington, D.C., where a small group gathered successfully, followed hygiene protocols and carried out a safe, open dialogue.
“I’m proud to see the great lengths being taken by the meetings and event industry to reinforce new health and security standards so that those who want to gather in-person can do so safely,” said Nan Marchand Beauvois, Senior Vice President, U.S. Travel Association and Managing Director, Meetings Mean Business Coalition. “By remaining agile, following local guidelines and enlisting health and safety experts at every stage, we are creating a welcoming environment for those who are ready and able to meet in-person.”
Taking measures one step further, our coalition is enlisting corporate executives, policymakers and meetings industry leadership to engage in critical conversations that will continue to shape in-person meetings and events.
